Dark Malta Festival, music festivalA festival site that looks like it belongs to the scene it serves

The brief
Dark Malta is Malta's gothic, industrial and metal festival: three days of live bands, pool parties and after-parties. The website had to look like the scene it serves and get fans from the lineup to a ticket quickly.

What we built
A Next.js website with a lineup explorer for nineteen international bands, searchable and filterable by day, a schedule, six festival experiences, the story, a gallery of 39 images and a practical information page with eight answered questions. A countdown runs to the opening night, ticket buttons go straight to the ticket seller, and the contact form and newsletter sign-up are both protected against bots, with the newsletter confirmed by email.
Search, answers and AI assistants
Every page has its own title, description and share image. The structured data describes the festival as an event with its venue, dates and ticket offer, so search engines and AI assistants can state when and where it happens. Preview builds are closed to search engines so they never compete with the real site. This is the groundwork of our SEO, AEO and GEO work.
Where it stands
Built and on a preview address. It moves to the festival's own domain when the organisers switch over.
Questions festival and event organisers ask usAnswered from what we built for Dark Malta Festival.
Do you build websites for music festivals and events?
Yes. For Dark Malta Festival we built a lineup explorer for nineteen bands, a schedule, six festival experiences, the story, a 39-image gallery and a countdown to opening night.
Can my festival website sell tickets?
We send buyers to the ticket seller you already use. On Dark Malta every ticket button goes straight to the festival's ticket seller, so sales, scanning and refunds stay with the platform built for them.
How do I get my event to show in Google with its dates and venue?
With event structured data. Dark Malta's site describes the festival as an event with its venue, dates and ticket offer, so search engines and AI assistants can state when and where it happens.
Can you build a lineup page fans can search and filter?
Yes. Dark Malta's lineup explorer can be searched and filtered by day, and a practical information page answers eight common questions fans ask before they travel.
How do I stop bots signing up to my festival newsletter?
On Dark Malta the contact form and the newsletter sign-up are both protected against bots, and every newsletter sign-up is confirmed by email before it counts.
